Dionne and I were catching up and we wanted to visit a new restaurant. Bookatable my new best friend, lists top restaurants within your area or you have the option to search for a restaurant/look within a specific location for great offers. We opted for Winter Gardens located within The Landmark Hotel in Marylebone and cocktails at Sky Pod Bar in Sky Gardens.
Winter Gardens
Bookatable had a good deal. 3 courses and a Bellini for ยฃ40 per person. The venue was lovely with palm trees and simple white tablecloths. We were seated on a nice table in the corner. The restaurant was busy but it was peaceful and you were able to have a conversation without shouting.

The bill came up to ยฃ96 with service charge.
Overall the venue was beautiful, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was tasty but I was expecting more from the starter.
My rating for Winter Garden is 9/10.
Sky Pod
I booked a table for 22:30 and I can’t believe we survived until this time as I’m normally in bed by this time lol. When we entered the building there was a queue but when I gave my name to the receptionist she directed us to a different entrance. Before you reach the lift there is a security check, where your bags are scanned and you go through a metal detector. Once the check was complete we took the lift to the 35th floor and headed to the receptionist. I gave my name and we taken to our table.
The DJ was playing some good Old Skool R’n’B songs. The bar was packed and there was a nice atmosphere. Everyone was enjoying themselves on the dance floor. We had a nice table with a view of the shard. There was dim lighting with faux candles on each table.
We opted for Winter Berry Mojitos (ยฃ13 each). The cocktails looked amazing. They tasted like Ribena but had an after taste. My rating for the cocktail is 5/10.
I then went for a Mulled Wine Cocktail (ยฃ9) which reminded me of Christmas. It was delicious and warm. My rating for the cocktail is 7/10.
In total the bill came up to ยฃ43 which also included service charge and a soft drink.
We had a walk to have a look at the gardens. I will definitely visit in the Summer to see the gardens in the daylight.
Overall it was a great night. The DJ played great music, the atmosphere was lovely and the views were stunning. The only disappointment was the cocktails which is why I’m giving the Sky Pod 8/10.
