It’s that time of year where you reflect on the year and set your goals for the new year ahead. I’ve asked a few people this week what their new years resolutions are and they’ve all said they’re not setting any. They all said they set them but gave up.
I set myself 3 goals for 2018:
- Lose 3 stone
- Continue to build blog and post twice a week
- Save £2000
Did I achieve them? Let’s see.
Lose 3 stone
UPDATE: Weight loss can be challenging and you have to stay dedicated even when it becomes monotonous. I didn’t get into the right frame of mind this year so didn’t achieve this goal. It’s still a work in progress and I will get there.
Build blog and post twice a week
UPDATE: I started off well at the start of the year then by March I didn’t post anything. I got back into the swing of things in November by redesigning the blog. It just shows how time can just pass you and nothing is accomplished. After my birthday I decided to stop procrastinating and get into a routine of posting twice a week. I’ve set time in my calendar twice a week to focus on my blog which has helped tremendously. I really enjoy blogging so I want to continue to grow the blog and improve in 2019.

My aim for 2019 is to double these stats.
UPDATE: I achieved my goal and saved £2000. It takes time but I’m getting there with my budget using YNAB. YNAB is a great budgeting tool that allows you to take control of your budget. It’s so great to watch my savings grow. Check out YNAB here.
