To celebrate her Birthday, Hazel booked to go for Afternoon Tea at the DoubleTree Hilton. The friend she was supposed to go with was unable to make it so I got to accompany her instead; lucky me.
The Hotel was located in a quiet location closer to Deptford than main Greenwich. Hazel reserved a car parking space so she was able to park on the Hotel grounds which was great.
When walking into the Hotel we were presented with sophisticated decor including buddhas and artistic statues. The Afternoon Tea Room looked lovely and cozy with sofas and velvet arms chairs. We were seated on the sofas which were nice and comfortable.

The Afternoon Tea Menu consisted of:
Sandwiches
- Egg Mayonnaise with Watercress
- Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese
- Ham and Mustard
Scones
- Plain
- Raisin
Cakes
- Lemon Cupcake
- Raspberry Cupcake
- Dark Chocolate Tart with Nuts
- Custard Tart with Fresh Berries
You have the choice of replacing sandwiches you don’t like with something else so I replaced the cheese sandwich with another salmon sandwich.
There was a selection of Teas to choose from which included Afternoon Blend Tea(English Breakfast Tea) to Moroccan Mint Tea. We both went for the Afternoon Blend. I also ordered a coke which was ยฃ3 for the smallest bottle ever, I’m sure I only had sips.
Overall, the Afternoon Tea was very delicious and very filling. I couldn’t finish both scones and I didn’t finish the cakes either. Shock shock horror. Me not finishing cake is a big thing lol.
I hope you enjoyed. Until next time.
