What better way to end 2019, than with a delicious meal amongst friends. Hazel made a reservation at The Ivy Canary Wharf also known as The Ivy in the Park. The restaurant is located in Canada Square Park and a short walk from Canary Wharf DLR Station.

The curry sauce was creamy with coconut and a subtle hint of chilli. I always order a chicken curry when choosing a curry dish at a restaurant so I thought I would try something new by trying the duck. It was cooked perfectly and the duck flavours blended well with the coconut. The only downfall was some fatty pieces with the duck. Hazel’s Fish and Chips looked appetising and the portion size was very generous. I tried a piece of fish which was moist and fleshy.
Hazel and I opted for the Farmhouse Fruit Bowl Mocktail to go with our meals. It was a refreshing blend of flavours with Pear, Morello Cherry, Apple and Lemon finished off with Rhubarb and Cardamom Soda. It was amazing and only lasted a few sips.
To end the evening we ordered a dessert each. Rum Baba and Chocolate Bombe which was a bit of a performance as the waiter poured hot salted caramel over the top revealing the honeycomb centre. The Rum Baba was sponge soaked in rum with Chantilly Cream and Raspberries.
