What other way could I spend Easter Monday then at London Zoo? It was my first time visiting the zoo which is bad due to the fact I have lived in London all my life. I was so excited to be ticking off another item off my Bucket List (see blog post here). My friend Julianah and her daughter Kiki were coming down from Milton Keynes and invited me to come along to the zoo. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and the temperatures were high.
London Zoo is in Regents Park and there are a variety of stations surrounding the zoo so it’s easy to get to. When you book your tickets online 2 days in advance you receive a 10% discount. I met Julianah and Kiki at the entrance of the Zoo. It was packed with families and couples so I guess they all had the same idea. We showed our tickets and was directed to security to check our bags. Once complete we grabbed a map and started our adventure.
First, stop the toilet. I couldn’t come all the way to Camden without stopping off at Mooboo and buying a large Passion Fruit Bubble Tea. (check out my bubble tea post here). Now that’s out of the way the journey begins. We started at the Aquarium where we got to see a variety of beautiful and colourful fishes. We also saw crocodiles and lizards.
There was so much to see at the zoo so we slowly explored the other parts. We watched the penguins splash in the water at Penguin Beach and then squirmed at the bugs in Bug Palace. The Butterfly Palace was full of beautiful flowers and the butterflies flew around the tent landing on people as they walked through.
I hope you enjoyed. Please follow my blog to keep up to date with my latest posts. Until next time.
