Restaurant Ours

Restaurant Ours is located in Knightsbridge so Hazel and I jumped in a uber. From the moment you enter the building, you see a walk way of beautiful lilac flowers that takes you breath away.

We were seated at a table in the corner away from the noise which I was thankful for. The restaurant was filled with young instagrammers and mainly females. Everyone was dressed in littles dresses and sky high heels.

Hazel and I decided to go for a main, dessert and cocktail. We started by ordering cocktails and water. I chose the Havana Ciao which was Havana SDM, Cointreau, homemade passion fruit chilli syrup, lime and coriander. Hazel chose the Le Pornstar Fizz which consisted of the pornstar cocktail and prosecco. The cocktails worked out at £13 each. My cocktail was refreshing but unusual; sweet with a hint of chilli.

For the main, I selected the Filet Tenderloin with potato gratin and mustard jus. The steak was cooked beautifully and the potato gratin with mustard jus finished off the dish perfectly. Hazel chose the Loomswood Farm Duck Magret with mustard greens and flower ceviche which looked very appealing.

 

I opted for Pavlova with berries, honeycomb and clotted cream for dessert. The presentation was theatrical as the waiter poured liquid nitrogen into a small bowl on the plate which created a cloud of smoke. There was loads of meringue which was nice and crisp. The clotted cream was velvety and the berries added sweetness to the dish. Hazel chose Churros with dolce de leche and it looked scrumptious.

 

Before we left we decided to check out the famous flower wall. When we first arrived there were people queuing to take photos in front of it.

Overall the food was exquisite and the decor was captivating. The atmosphere wasn’t the friendliest and portion sizes were very small but it’s definitely worth a visit. The bill came up to £126 which included service charge.
