Peggy Porschen Cakes opened in Belgravia, London in 2010. It’s a 5 minute walk from Victoria Coach and Train Stations. Peggy Porschen Cakes is one of the most instagrammed cake shops. The pretty pink exterior and beautiful flowers draw you in. The current theme is Valentines so there were heart decorations in the window and special valentine cupcakes.
Hazel and I had to queue for a bit but it was worth the wait. A lady walking past and asked me what was happening and if a celebrity was inside. I said “No, it’s just a popular cake shop”. I was so happy to get inside as it was nice and warm. The shop is quite small with 6 tables for people to sit down. There are several tables outside but it was too cold; it would be great for the summer.

Peggy Porschen Recipe books line the wall and pretty packaged Valentine Cookies with messages like ‘Be Mine’. There is a variety of cupcakes and cakes to choose from as well as Teas and Coffees. The selection of treats include Banoffee Cupcakes and Dark Chocolate Truffle Cake to Macarons and Jam Hearts.
After some deliberation, I chose the Strawberry and Champagne Cupcake and a Hot Chocolate. Hazel chose the Glorious Victoria Cake with a Hot Chocolate. The cupcake was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet and there was a tasty strawberry filling. The Hot Chocolate was bitter but balanced out well with the cupcake.
