Coco Asia Lakeside Review: Is It Worth Visiting?
Coco Asia Lakeside review explores one of Thurrock’s most beautiful waterfront dining spots, offering stunning décor, flavour-packed Asian dishes, live saxophonist music and a peaceful lakeside setting.
📍 Coco Asia Lakeside
Unit 1A, W Thurrock Way, West Thurrock, Thurrock, RM20 2ZN
First Impressions
Coco Asia Lakeside offers a relaxed and memorable dining experience.
In addition, the stunning décor, flavour-packed dishes, live saxophonist music and lakeside setting make it feel special.
Additionally, the evening ambience was elevated even further by live music, with a saxophonist serenading diners later in the night — a beautiful touch that set the mood.
Ambience & Experience
This is an alcohol-free venue, so expect a creative mocktail menu alongside soft drinks. While my mocktail leaned slightly on the sweeter side for my personal taste, the overall experience more than made up for it.
The staff were attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and service flowed smoothly throughout the meal. With music playing softly and the lake views in the background, the whole setting felt relaxed yet special.
I can already imagine how incredible this place will be in the summer — warm evenings, golden light over the water, and that calm lakeside energy.
Drinks

Mango & Passionfruit Mojito – £10
Refreshing and fruity, though on the sweeter side for me.
What We Ordered
Starters
- King Prawn Puri – £16
Full of flavour and beautifully presented — easily a standout starter.
Mains
- Chicken Coco Stir-Fried Noodles – £18
- Creamy Chicken Pasta – £22
- Chicken Coco Madras – £19
Rich, comforting, and with the perfect kick of spice.
Sides
- Coco Rice – £4.50
- Paratha – £5.95
The Chicken Madras was my favourite — well-balanced, flavour-packed, and exactly the level of heat I love.

Final Thoughts
Between the gorgeous décor, lakeside location, live saxophonist, attentive staff, and flavourful dishes, Coco Asia Lakeside delivers both on food and experience. It’s peaceful, elegant, and ideal for date nights, celebrations, or a relaxed evening with friends.
I’ll definitely be back — especially in the warmer months when that waterfront setting will really shine.
Overall, this Coco Asia Lakeside review highlights why it’s a must-visit lakeside restaurant in Thurrock, especially for relaxed evenings and summer dining.
