Dinner at Marco Pierre White’s London Steakhouse Co

Hazel found a great deal on Virgin Experience Days for a 3-course meal and cocktail for 2 at Marco White’s London Steak House Co for only £55. I love steak but don’t eat it often so was happy to visit a new restaurant.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the Front of House Team took our coats and seated us at a table next to the bar. The waiter greeted us and handed us a menu which had a variety of dishes to choose from.

To start, we both ordered a Passion Jazz Cocktail which was made up of vodka, passionfruit and apple juice. It was deliciously sweet from the passionfruit and I was unable to taste the alcohol. I would definitely recommend if you like a sweet, refreshing cocktail.

For starters, I selected the soup of the day which was Carrot and Ginger and Hazel chose the Chicken Liver Parfait. The soup was full of flavour with subtle hints of ginger. It was very filling and I was unable to finish it. Hazel wasn’t a fan of the parfait but was happy she tried something different.

For the main course, I chose the 8oz Centre-Cut Fillet Steak with Creamed Potatoes and Peppercorn Sauce. Hazel went for the 10oz Rump Steak, Buttered New Potatoes and Peppercorn Sauce. The steak was exquisite and cooked to perfection. Paired with the creamed potatoes and peppercorn sauce which was flavoursome.

The best course; dessert was next. I was torn between Sticky Toffee Pudding and Lemon Posset with Raspberries. I wanted to try something different so opted for the Lemon Poset. Hazel picked the Sticky Toffee Pudding and it looked amazing. The Lemon Posset was luscious with the lemon and raspberry infusion. The portion size looked small but was just enough as it was quite creamy.

Our bill was only £26 for the steak supplements and soft drinks because we used the voucher. This was definitely a bargain.

Overall, the food was great but the service was disappointing and there was no ambience. I’m happy I had the chance to visit but I wouldn’t go back because of the poor service. The Front of House Manager was very helpful and offered a free glass of prosecco but some staff members were unprofessional.
