Hazel has spoken about Brigit’s Bakery for a few years but I hadn’t had the chance to visit. We tried to drop in a couple of weeks ago but it was fully booked. Today was the day we finally got to visit.
The weather was beautiful; the sun was shining and we didn’t need a jacket. We started off the afternoon by having lunch at TGI Fridays in Covent Garden. I went for Steak served with chips, crispy onions and a wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon dressing. They also provided a choice of sauces including a glaze or gravy. I opted for peppercorn sauce was added flavour to the steak as it was bland. Once we finished we went for a walk around Covent Garden to burn off the food. I also got a chance to visit Laduree to buy some macarons (blog post here).
When we arrived at Brigit’s Bakery we were seated at a nice table away from the door. The Bakery was decorated with Easter decorations such as gold bunnies and faux easter eggs. There was so many eye-catching cakes to choose from. I chose the Banoffee Dessert with English Breakfast Tea and Hazel chose the Vanilla Cheesecake with English Breakfast Tea. The Banoffee Dessert was amazing. It wasn’t too sweet and it was just the right amount. My bill came up to £9.80 which included VAT.
Rating: 10/10 Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious desserts.
We decided to take the ThamesClipper River Boat from Embankment to Greenwich Cutty Sark instead of taking the train. This was the first time I have taken the River Boat and I enjoyed it. The seats were like airplane seats with a tray for food. There was a shop/bar with snacks and a variety of beverages; alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
I hope you enjoyed. Please follow my blog to keep up to date with my latest posts. Until next time.
